* Enzo Mari (*1932 in Novara, Italien) studierte Kunst und Literatur an der Accademia di Brera in Mailand. 1952, eröffnete er sein eigenes Designstudio in dem er über sechzig Jahre arbeitete. Er unterrichtete 1963 bis 1966 an der Società Umanitaria in Mailand und lehrte danach sowohl im In- als auch im Ausland.

Mari interessierte sich für die alltägliche, theoretische Rolle von Designer und Objekt, sowie die Psychologie visueller Wahrnehmung. Er experimentierte mit einer Vielzahl der visuellen Künste, angetrieben von Funktion und Ästhetik des Materials.

Stylish and functional.

First, I love the color. Earth tones are my go to. This is a nice shade of olive green. The design is stylish. Minimalistic is also my preference. It’s very much form and function. So I’ve mostly used this hiking. It’s big enough to store everything I needed for longer or overnight trips. I had a light jacket, sunscreen, flashlight, bug spray, several bags of snacks, a book, wipes and a water bottle. I could have packed more honestly. It’s waterproof and the material doesn’t snag or scratch. I’ve also used it for travel, mostly for my art supplies. It’s sturdy so my sketch book doesn’t bend. Theres a dozen different pockets and compartments, so everything can be separated from each other. The size is good, the strap lengths are long and easily adjustable. The only downside is the compartment for a water bottle or travel mug is pretty tight. Other than that I like it a lot.
