Der Gründer Kakha Tchotiashvili ist ein handwerklicher Winzer, der sich auf die Wiederbelebung alter lokaler Rebsorten konzentriert und völlig natürliche Weine nach lokalen Traditionen herstellt, ohne Zusatzstoffe oder Chemikalien in den Weinbergen oder bei der Weinherstellung. Kakha ist ein Perfektionist und widmet den Reben und Weinen in allen Phasen des Anbaus und der Weinherstellung besondere Aufmerksamkeit. Dies ermöglicht es ihm, mit alten Methoden präzise und saubere Aromen zu erzeugen. Die Produktion ist begrenzt und die Flaschen werden für den Verkauf nummeriert. Die Trauben stammen von Weinbergen am linken Ufer des Alazani-Flusses im Landesinneren von Kachetien. Die im Jahr 2002 gepflanzten Rebstöcke profitieren von einem leichten Sand-Karbonat-Kordelboden, der keine Bewässerung erfordert. Der Most wird in den Qvevri (unterirdische Terrakotta-Amphoren) dreieinhalb Monate lang nach der traditionellen regionalen Technik eingemaischt. Der daraus resultierende Wein ist reichhaltig, mit tiefer Farbe und schönen violetten Reflexen. Das Bukett ist komplex mit bitteren roten Früchten, dunklen Pflaumen, Gewürzen, schwarzem Pfeffer, blumigen und krautigen Noten. Am Gaumen ist er saftig und weich, mit einem mittleren Körper, guter Säure und feinen Tanninen. Der Abgang ist perfekt ausgewogen und sehr elegant. Will Dispell The Idea That There Are 400 Silent Years.
Format: Hardcover
This was a great read, covering the period from 500 BC to the 1st century CE. It's solidly rooted in the Bible and presents a clear, easy-to-follow narrative of a historically complex era. Thanks to this book, I now see the Gospels as a natural continuation of that time. The insights into the power struggles among various sects are particularly compelling, as is the exploration of how compromises were made in the pursuit of influence. A truly worthwhile read!

Knowledgeable History; Uncharitable Theological Commentary
Format: Kindle
The author seems incredibly knowledgeable about the topic. I am learning a tremendous amount about the period bridging the Old and New Testament periods by reading this book. However, it is incredibly frustrating to me that the author compares modern day fellow-Christian cessationists with the unbelieving Sanhedrin whom Stephen excoriated in Acts chapter 7.
"The insinuation is that the Holy Spirit, which had inspired the Torah, was the very same spirit who had been prophetically active down to the time of Jesus but whom the Jewish leaders were now railing against. One wonders what words Stephen would have for modern readers who perpetuate the notion of prophetic silence."
At first this passage irritated me as an unnecessary and uncharitable jab. But I decided to write a review to let readers know to be prepared: if you do not have a Grudem-style view of ongoing prophecy, you should expect the author of this book to take cheap and uncharitable jabs, and to compare you to unbelieving Jews who rejected God's word. It actually colors my ability to take the author seriously, though I paid far too much for this book not to persevere through it.
The author could have chosen to take an objective and charitable stance and simply report the facts. I'm surprised an editor didn't encourage the author to restrain his criticisms.
