Der englische Kutter "Lady Nelson" ist in der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts im Südwesten Englands als schnelles Schiff für den Kanal entstanden. Sie erhielt schnell einen guten Ruf für Ihre Geschwindigkeit, was auch für Schmuggler nicht unbemerkt blieb, die diesen Bootstyp schnell übernahmen. Daher wurden diese Kutter auch von den britischen Zollbehörden zur Verfolgung der Schmuggler eingesetzt. Der Baukasten der Lady Nelson wurde für den Einsteiger entwickelt und ist ideal für die Einführung in die Spantenbauweise mit doppelter Beplankung. Alle Holzteile sind mit Laser genau aus Nussbaum und Sperrholz ausgeschnitten. Ausführliche Baupläne und Bauanleitung erleichtern den Zusammenbau.
