Das ausschließliche Medium der 1967 in Chile geborenen Sandra Vásquez de la Horra ist das Zeichnen mit Bleistift und Farbstift auf Papier. Zum Motivrepertoire gehören Volksreligion, Aberglaube, Märchen und Erinnerungen an die Pinochet-Diktatur, wobei die Künstlerin lateinamerikanische Traditionen mit europäischen verbindet. In einem ungewöhnlichen weiteren Bearbeitungsschritt verleiht sie den Zeichnungen ihre endgültige und charakteristische Form: die Künstlerin taucht sie in ein Bad aus geschmolzenem Bienenwachs, der als gelblich-brauner Film haften bleibt. Die Zeichnungen wirken nach dieser Prozedur durchscheinend und seltsam zeitlos – eine Ästhetik, die den surrealen Gehalt der Darstellungen noch verstärkt. Pretty in Pink!

I wear this jacket almost every day! The color is a pretty bubblegum pink and is just as shown in the ad. Being high quality, it does not fade nor bleed when you wash it, it is true to size but does have stretch for comfort. You can put this in the dryer and it does not shrink! The pockets are a decent size and have zippers to keep your items safe. It is thick enough to keep you warm but not too thick to where you will overheat. Perfect for a breezy day!
