Über die Autorin

Angela Sommer-Bodenburg hat Pädagogik, Soziologie und Psychologie studiert. Sie war 12 Jahre Grundschullehrerin in Hamburg und lebt in Silver City, New Mexico, USA, wo sie schreibt und malt. Ihre Erfolgsserie «Der kleine Vampir» wurde in 34 Sprachen übersetzt. Zudem gibt es Musicals, Theaterstücke und Hörbücher zur Serie, außerdem wurde sie zweimal für das Fernsehen verfilmt. Im Jahr 2000 kam eine internationale Großproduktion auf die Kinoleinwand, und 2017 hatte die erste 3D-Animation von «Der kleine Vampir» als europäische Koproduktion Premiere.

Über die Illustratorin

Amelie Glienke studierte Malerei und freie Grafik bei Professor Georg Kiefer, Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Sie arbeitet als Grafikerin, Zeichnerin und (unter dem Namen HOGLI) als Karikaturistin in Berlin und hat zwei Kinder. Amelie Glienke illustrierte u. a. Werke von Hanne Schüler und Roald Dahl.

I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".
