Am Morgen des zweiten Tages lag Porsche in Le Mans hinter Matra auf Platz zwei. Dann allerdings brach am Auto von Herbert Müller und Gijs van Lennep der fünfte Gang. Da man um an das Getriebe zu kommen den ganzen Motor hätte ausbauen müssen, fuhr man mit vier Gängen weiter und hoffte das die Bruchstücke im Getriebe keinen weiteren Schaden anrichten würden. Am Ende hielt das Auto den hohen Belastungen stand und kam als Zweiter der Gesamtwertung nach 24 Stunden im Ziel an. Dies war für den als Prototypen gestarteten 911er und Porsche ein riesen Erfolg.

Finally had to replace the OEM starter
I went with this one because I'm not sure how long I'll have the car. So far so good strong starts. The starter is in a bad location. Not impossible but not exactly easy to get to. Whatch some YouTube videos I just took the manifold off so I had some room to work.

Good fit.

The starter that I ordered was exactly what the description said. The starter fit my car and it is now running again.
There is just one thing that did not happen with this order. I ordered this paticular part because it stated if you order within the next 4 hours it will be delivered between 4am and 8 am howwver it was not delivered ubtil 4:30 pm.
