Mit der Einführung der Plastikbälle hat ein neuer Trend bei der Entwicklung von modernen Offensivbelägen eingesetzt. Die Tendenz geht eindeutig zu härteren Belägen mit sehr griffigen und zum Teil klebrigen Oberflächen. Stiga ist es mit der Entwicklung des DNA Dragon Grip gelungen, das Beste aus moderner Schwammtechnologie und Oberflächentechnologie zu kombinieren.

Der DNA Dragon Grip hat eine extrem griffige und klebrige Oberfläche, die für eine hohe Kontrolle bei maximaler Rotationsentwicklung sorgt. Doch im Gegensatz zu klassisch chinesischen Belägen, die zwar auch oft eine klebrige Oberfläche haben, aber eine etwas geringe Dynamik aufweisen, bietet der Stiga Belag Dank deutscher Schwammtechnologie einen integrierten Frischklebeeffekt mit sehr guter Dynamik. Mit 55° ist der Schwamm zwar auf dem Papier recht hart, spielt sich aber gefühlt durch die Tensor-Technologie deutlich weicher.

Der DNA Dragon Grip wird in Deutschland mit der neuen C-Touch Tensor Technologie hergestellt. Diese fortschrittliche Schwammtechnologie wurde auf der Basis von ausführlichem Feedback von Spitzenspielern und KI (Künstliche Intelligenz) entwickelt. Durch die digitale Auswertung von Daten konnte Stiga wichtige Materialeigenschaften identifizieren, die bisher nur durch Analyse von Tausenden verschiedener Gummiproben möglich waren. Das Ergebnis der Datenanalyse ist ein Belag mit einzigartigen Eigenschaften und dem besagten extraharten Schwamm mit 55 Grad.

Der Belag hilft Dir vor allem im Aufschlag- und Rückschlag. Hier ist Dank der klebrigen Oberfläche eine sehr hohe Rotation möglich. Der harte Schwamm hat zudem weniger Katapult, so dass die Rückschläge sehr kontrolliert und platziert gespielt werden können. In der Topspineröffnung überzeugt er durch den hohen Grip und die maximale Effektentwicklung. Dabei hat der DNA Dragon Grip eine sehr hohe, lange Flugbahn.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
