Der Tankring Basic von HEPCO & BECKER ist speziell für das Motorradmodell Honda XL 700 V Transalp der Baujahre 2008 bis 2012 entwickelt worden. Dieses Zubehörteil ermöglicht eine sichere und einfache Befestigung eines kompatiblen Tankrucksacks direkt am Kraftstofftank des Motorrades.

Im Lieferumfang des Tankring Basic ist neben dem Ring selbst auch ein passender Gegenhalter enthalten, der je nach spezifischer Tankform und dem Einschlagwinkel des Lenkers am Tankrucksack angebracht wird. Die Montage des Tankrings gestattet weiterhin ein unkompliziertes Öffnen des Tankdeckels.

Die Installation des Tankrings erfordert lediglich dieses Bauteil und einen passenden Tankrucksack für das genannte Motorradmodell. Der Tankring ist in einer spezifischen Datenbank für jedes Modell hinterlegt, was die Kompatibilitätsprüfung vereinfacht.
