Über die Pflanze

Geranie ist ein mehrjähriger, haariger Strauch, der eine Höhe von etwa 1 Meter erreicht. Die Blätter sind spitz und an den Rändern gezackt, während die Blüten klein und rosa gefärbt sind. Die ganze Pflanze hat einen aromatischen Geruch. Die wichtigsten chemischen Inhaltsstoffe sind Citronellol, Geraniol, Citronellyl-Formiat, Geranyl-Formiat, welche dafür bekannt sind auf das endokrine System einzuwirken und gerne gegen Ödeme und Wassereinlagerungen verwendet werden.
