Der „Sailor Crewneck“ von Andersen-Andersen ist inspiriert von der Kleidung der Seemänner und wird aus schwerer Wolle gestrickt.

Die aus Patagonien stammende, reine Schurwolle wird sorgfältig in Italien gereinigt und anschließend gekämmt. Kurze Fasern werden somit entfernt und eine zusätzliche Drehung der Garne sorgen für mehr Dichte und Haltbarkeit, die Form des Pullovers bleibt bestehen. Als Teil ihrer Verpflichtung zum Tierschutz verwendet Andersen-Andersen dabei nur mulesingfreie Wolle, die in Italien nach den höchsten europäischen Standards gefärbt wird.
