Nach den 4 Wochen wird die Maische abgepresst und der Wein wird in ein Holzfass gelegt. Der Wein gärt dann im Holzfass fertig und bleibt dann auf der Vollhefe für 15 Monate liegen. Danach wird der unfiltrierte Wein schwefelarm in eine Steinzeugflasche gefüllt. Feine dunkle Waldbeeren, eingelegte Kirschen, ein Hauch von Nougat und Kräutern, feiner Gerbstoff, dunkle Herzkirschen, zart nach Karamell, würziger Nachhall.Jede Flasche ist eingepackt in einem Graskarton mit Heueinlage. Zu jeder Flasche erhalten Sie weiters eine Graspapier-Rolle mit der genauen Geschichte von dem Wein.

Interesting History
Format: Paperback
My husband grew up close to Donner so he knew this story well. I found it very interesting to hear this from him and visit the area many years ago. My kids had just visited the Donner museum over Thanksgiving break and my 10 year old loves the "Who Was" series and these "I Survived or Escaped" books. My 9 year also reads them.
