The bottle opener sticks out at a slight angle. This does not affect the performance, but it does detract from the novelty somewhat.

It functions well, and holds adequate weight, and looks really good with the light lacquer finish...the only thing I will say to a potential buyer is to make sure you have room to walk past it easily when its closed down because it still sticks out a few inches even when closed down...overall, very happy with this item and would purchase again.
