Der Chardonnay Neusatz 2022 von Kollwentz stammt aus den kalk- und schiefergeprägten Hängen rund um den Leithaberg im Burgenland. Die Lage Neusatz bringt besonders elegante und tiefgründige Chardonnays hervor, bei denen weniger die opulente Frucht als vielmehr Struktur, Mineralität und Spannung im Mittelpunkt stehen.

Der Jahrgang 2022 zeigt viel Balance und Ruhe. Trotz seiner Kraft wirkt der Wein präzise und fein aufgebaut, mit einer klaren Linie und bemerkenswerter Eleganz. Der Ausbau im Holzfass verleiht zusätzliche Tiefe und Textur, ohne die Herkunft der Lage zu überdecken.

Kollwentz verfolgt einen sehr klassischen, terroirgeprägten Stil mit Fokus auf Langlebigkeit und Finesse. Dadurch zeigt der Chardonnay Neusatz viel Charakter, mineralische Tiefe und ein enormes Reifepotenzial. Ein sehr präziser und stilvoller österreichischer Chardonnay.

He does not ever recline on this dead sheep and looks at me as though I am the sheep slaughterer. Spouse asked if it came in bigger sizes. Since this is the skin of a dead sheep, it depends on live sheep girth. Anything bigger would likely have to be sewn together from multiple dead sheep. I find the girth of this sheep pelt perfectly acceptable. It is nice and thick and soft and fairly easy to vacuum. I frequently recline on it when stretched out on the floor, and am grateful it does not leave a mess or make noise like my dog, who should be grateful that his pelt is still attached to his body.
