Ortofon Record Brush

Available at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada, the Ortofon Record Brush is an essential vinyl care accessory designed by the same Danish industrial design studio — Møller Jensen Innovation and Design — responsible for Ortofon's award-winning MC Jubilee cartridge, the Kontrapunkt Series, 2M Series, and the Concorde MkII range. Cleaning your records before every play protects your stylus diamond, lowers the noise floor, and extends the life of your collection. The Ortofon Record Brush removes dust and static safely and effectively, without risk of scratching the record surface.

Carbon Fiber Bristles + Anti-Static Design

The brush features two rows of tightly bound carbon fiber bristles — the material of choice for record cleaning because carbon fiber conducts static electricity away from the record surface as it lifts dust from the grooves. The injection-moulded body uses a conductive plastic that actively prevents static charge build-up, addressing one of the primary causes of dust attraction on vinyl. A protective shield clips over the bristles when not in use, keeping them clean and correctly formed between sessions.

Key Features

  • Dual-row carbon fiber bristles — lifts dust and static from record grooves without scratching
  • Conductive plastic body — prevents static charge build-up during and after cleaning
  • Protective shield — slides and locks into place to protect bristles during storage
  • Injection-moulded two-part construction — simple, robust, and long-lasting
  • Embossed detailing for grip and clarity
  • Lanyard hole for convenient storage
  • Designed by Møller Jensen Innovation and Design, Denmark

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the Ortofon Record Brush?

Place your record on the turntable and start it spinning. Hold the Ortofon Record Brush lightly against the record surface and allow it to rotate one or two full revolutions, moving the brush slowly from the outer edge toward the label. This lifts dust out of the grooves and sweeps it to the edge of the record. Slide the protective shield back on after use.

Does the Ortofon Record Brush remove static as well as dust?

Yes. The carbon fiber bristles and conductive plastic body both dissipate static electricity from the record surface as you brush, reducing the static charge that attracts airborne dust back onto the record after cleaning.

Will carbon fiber bristles scratch my records?

No. Carbon fiber bristles are extremely fine and soft — far gentler than the record groove walls themselves. They are the standard material used in quality record brushes precisely because they clean effectively without applying enough pressure or friction to cause any surface damage.

How often should I clean my records with the Ortofon Record Brush?

Before every play. A quick dry brush before each listening session removes the surface dust that would otherwise be pushed through the grooves by the stylus, which causes both audible noise and accelerated stylus and record wear.

Is the Ortofon Record Brush suitable for all vinyl records?

Yes. The Ortofon Record Brush is safe for use on all standard 12", 10", and 7" vinyl records — LPs, EPs, and singles — regardless of pressing era or condition. It is a dry-brush tool and does not require any cleaning fluid.

Where can I buy the Ortofon Record Brush in Toronto, Canada?

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
