There's no stopping Telmo Rodriguez, tireless champion of obscure Spanish grape varieties and reviver of ancient vineyards. He roams relentlessly from his Rioja HQ (the Rodriguez family's respected Remelluri estate) seeking out long- forgotten parcels of vines and unlocking their potential. From north-western Spain's hot, rocky, rugged Toro region, this pure Tempranillo (Tinto de Toro) is dark, enticing and earthy, with robust bramble fruit flavours and hints of black chocolate richness.

Dehesa Gago is an honest representation of the viticulture and the vineyards of Spain’s most continental wine appellation, DO Toro. We seek to offer the greatest fluidity and freshness of this extreme place. The grapes are 100% Tinta de Toro from low density, bushvine vineyards taken care of by 8 families of growers we work with since 1998. Manual harvest in boxes is followed by spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and 6 months of maturing in tanks.
