Released in 1974, the record blends Renaissance and medieval textures with symphonic prog, driven by Gryphon’s distinctive use of bassoon, crumhorn, recorders, keyboards, guitars and dynamic percussion. Constantly shifting in tempo and tone, the album moves from pastoral folk passages to intricate prog interplay, creating a uniquely immersive sound world. Its success led to Gryphon joining Yes on their 1974 US tour, cementing the album’s cult status among prog historians.

This 2024 Music On Vinyl edition is pressed on 180‑gram translucent blue vinyl, limited to 750 individually numbered copies.
