Klipsch RP-6000F II Floorstanding Speaker (Each) at Vinyl Sound Toronto Canada

The RP-6000F II is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker from Klipsch's Reference Premiere II Series (Indianapolis, Indiana, USA), available at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada. The second generation of the RP-6000F, it features an enlarged 90x90-degree silicon composite hybrid Tractrix horn with a 1-inch titanium LTS vented tweeter and dual 6.5-inch Cerametallic cone woofers with aluminum Faraday shorting rings in a braced, divided MDF cabinet with dual rear-firing Tractrix ports. With 96 dB sensitivity, a 38Hz to 25kHz frequency response, and 125W continuous power handling, the RP-6000F II delivers the core Reference Premiere II acoustic architecture in a slimmer 39.6-inch-tall cabinet suited to medium and large listening rooms. Hidden Dolby Atmos passthrough connections on the rear enable straightforward integration of compatible elevation speakers. Available in Ebony and Walnut vinyl finishes with magnetic grilles and cast aluminum decoupling feet, sold individually.

Enlarged Silicon Composite Hybrid Tractrix Horn with LTS Titanium Vented Tweeter

The RP-6000F II's high-frequency section is built around the second-generation silicon composite hybrid Tractrix horn, enlarged over the first-generation RP-6000F design to extend the frequency range over which the horn controls tweeter directivity and improve soundstage width and imaging accuracy. The 90x90-degree circular-to-square expansion geometry of the Tractrix horn produces uniform dispersion across both the horizontal and vertical planes, directing high-frequency energy precisely toward the listening area while reducing unwanted reflections from side walls and ceiling that cause artificial reverb and reduce clarity. The compressed molded silicon face of the horn adds inherent damping to reduce horn resonances that would otherwise introduce coloration at the upper limit of the driver's operating range. The 1-inch titanium Linear Travel Suspension tweeter uses a piston-motion suspension system that constrains the diaphragm to precise linear excursion, lowering distortion compared to conventional dome tweeter suspensions that allow rotational and rocking motion during high-frequency operation. A vented rear housing prevents pressure accumulation behind the diaphragm, eliminating the standing waves that generate unwanted harmonic artifacts in closed tweeter housings. The 1,770Hz crossover point hands off from the dual 6.5-inch woofers to the tweeter at a frequency where the Tractrix horn already controls the directivity of the output, producing a cleaner and more seamless driver transition than the original RP-6000F's crossover implementation.

Dual 6.5" Cerametallic Woofers with Faraday Rings and Dual Tractrix Ports

The RP-6000F II's low-frequency section uses dual 6.5-inch Cerametallic cone woofers updated for the Reference Premiere II generation with aluminum Faraday shorting rings in the magnetic gap and a redesigned motor structure. Cerametallic cone technology combines the rigidity of a ceramic-coated surface with the low mass of a metallic substrate, producing a cone that resists breakup and distortion during high-excursion bass transients while maintaining the responsiveness needed for accurate midrange reproduction up to the 1,770Hz crossover. The aluminum Faraday shorting rings stabilize inductance and magnetic flux as the voice coil moves through the gap, reducing the distortion and sensitivity variation that occurs in woofers without this feature, particularly in the upper frequency range approaching the crossover point. The redesigned motor structure increases transient speed and control. Both woofers vent through a divided dual-chamber rear cabinet via two Tractrix-geometry ports with custom inner flares, providing cleaner and faster low-frequency venting with less port noise than conventional cylindrical ports at equivalent volume, extending bass response to 38Hz.

Key Features

  • Enlarged 90x90 Silicon Composite Hybrid Tractrix Horn: A second-generation Tractrix horn with a silicon composite face, larger than the first-generation RP-6000F horn, delivers a wider soundstage, enhanced directivity control, and cleaner crossover integration at 1,770Hz.
  • 1" Titanium LTS Vented Tweeter: Linear Travel Suspension limits the titanium diaphragm to precise piston motion for lower distortion, while a vented rear housing eliminates standing waves behind the diaphragm for enhanced high-frequency clarity to 25kHz.
  • Dual 6.5" Cerametallic Woofers with Aluminum Faraday Rings: Updated second-generation Cerametallic woofers with aluminum shorting rings and a redesigned motor structure provide lower distortion, improved transient response, and higher power handling than the original RP-6000F woofers.
  • Dual Rear-Firing Tractrix Ports with Custom Inner Flares: Two Tractrix-geometry rear ports minimize air turbulence entering the port for punchy, clean low-frequency output with reduced port noise from a divided dual-chamber enclosure.
  • Braced and Divided MDF Cabinet: Internal bracing and a divided cabinet structure reduce resonances and vibrations for improved midrange transparency and clarity across all listening levels.
  • 96 dB Sensitivity: High efficiency enables room-filling output from most AV receivers and integrated amplifiers without requiring high-wattage dedicated amplification, and supports compatibility with a wide range of home theater and stereo systems.
  • Dolby Atmos Passthrough Connections: Hidden rear connections simplify the integration of compatible Dolby Atmos elevation speakers such as the Klipsch RP-500SA with cleaner wire management than exposed external terminals.
  • Bi-Wire / Bi-Amp Dual Binding Posts: Aluminum dual binding posts on the input panel support bi-wiring and bi-amplification, with audiophile-grade internal wiring throughout the signal path.
  • Cast Aluminum Decoupling Feet: Cast aluminum feet minimize floor contact area to decouple the cabinet from floor-borne vibration, improving bass tightness and overall detail retrieval.
  • Magnetic Grille: The grille attaches and detaches magnetically for a clean front baffle appearance without visible mounting pins or clips.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Klipsch RP-6000F II?

The Klipsch RP-6000F II is a two-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker from Klipsch's Reference Premiere II Series. It features a 1-inch titanium LTS vented tweeter on an enlarged 90x90-degree silicon composite hybrid Tractrix horn and dual 6.5-inch Cerametallic cone woofers with aluminum Faraday shorting rings in a braced, divided MDF cabinet. It delivers 96 dB sensitivity, a 38Hz to 25kHz frequency response, and 125W continuous power handling, and includes hidden Dolby Atmos passthrough connections for elevation speaker integration. It stands 39.6 inches tall and weighs 49.4 lbs per speaker.

How does the Klipsch RP-6000F II compare to the RP-8000F II or the Polk Audio Reserve R600?

The RP-6000F II and the RP-8000F II share the same Reference Premiere II architecture, including the same horn, tweeter, and cabinet engineering approach. The primary differences are in driver size and output capability: the RP-8000F II uses dual 8-inch Cerametallic woofers versus the RP-6000F II's dual 6.5-inch units, producing slightly deeper bass extension to 35Hz versus 38Hz and 98 dB sensitivity versus 96 dB, along with a higher 150W continuous power handling rating. The RP-6000F II's slimmer 9.29-inch-wide cabinet is the more practical choice for rooms where the RP-8000F II's 10.84-inch width is a constraint. Compared to the Polk Audio Reserve R600, a conventional 2.5-way dynamic speaker at approximately 87 dB sensitivity, the RP-6000F II offers significantly higher efficiency and a horn-loaded tweeter for controlled directivity that the R600's dome tweeter cannot match.

What is the difference between the RP-6000F II and the original RP-6000F?

The RP-6000F II introduces targeted improvements over the first-generation RP-6000F at the horn, woofer, and cabinet levels. The Tractrix horn has been enlarged to improve directivity control at lower frequencies and produce a wider soundstage, with a silicon composite face material replacing the original's horn construction for better resonance damping. The dual 6.5-inch Cerametallic woofers are updated with aluminum Faraday shorting rings and a redesigned motor structure, reducing distortion and improving transient speed versus the original drivers. The cabinet adds internal bracing and a divided structure for reduced resonances. The rear panel gains hidden Dolby Atmos passthrough connections absent from the original RP-6000F, and the input panel features upgraded aluminum binding posts with audiophile-grade internal wiring.

Can the Klipsch RP-6000F II be upgraded to Dolby Atmos without replacing the speakers?

Yes, the RP-6000F II is designed for straightforward Dolby Atmos upgradability. The hidden passthrough connections on the rear of the cabinet accept the cable from a compatible elevation speaker such as the Klipsch RP-500SA, routing the wire neatly through the tower to the AV receiver's height channel output terminal without exposed cables running alongside the cabinet. This allows listeners to start with the RP-6000F II as a conventional stereo or surround speaker and add Dolby Atmos height capability later by connecting elevation modules and upgrading to a Dolby Atmos-capable AV receiver, without replacing the main speakers.

What AV receivers and amplifiers pair well with the Klipsch RP-6000F II?

The RP-6000F II's 96 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm nominal impedance make it compatible with virtually any AV receiver or integrated amplifier regardless of power rating. Mid-range AV receivers from Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, and Onkyo rated at 50 to 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms provide more than sufficient power for even large room listening at reference levels. Onkyo receivers specifically support Klipsch Reference Premiere speakers with optimized crossover presets through their Klipsch Optimized mode, which pre-configures crossover settings before room correction calibration for improved system integration. For two-channel music listening, integrated amplifiers from brands such as NAD, Cambridge Audio, and Rotel pair well, providing clean current delivery that benefits the Cerametallic woofers' bass control and transient accuracy.

Where can I buy the Klipsch RP-6000F II in Toronto or Canada?

The Klipsch RP-6000F II Reference Premiere floorstanding speaker is available at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada. Vinyl Sound is an authorized Klipsch dealer carrying the Reference Premiere II Series alongside the Klipsch Heritage Series. The RP-6000F II can be purchased online through the Vinyl Sound Canada website with shipping available across Canada, or buyers in Toronto can contact Vinyl Sound directly for home theater system configuration guidance and compatible center channel and subwoofer recommendations.

Is the Klipsch RP-6000F II suitable as a front speaker in a full Klipsch Reference Premiere II home theater?

Yes, the RP-6000F II is designed to anchor a complete Klipsch Reference Premiere II home theater system. Klipsch recommends pairing it with the RP-504C II center channel speaker, which uses the same Cerametallic woofer cone material, silicon composite hybrid Tractrix horn geometry, and LTS titanium tweeter as the RP-6000F II's main channel for consistent tonal character across the front soundstage. The RP-502S II or RP-600M II bookshelf speakers serve as surround channels, and the RP-12000SW subwoofer completes the system by extending bass below the RP-6000F II's 38Hz lower limit for home theater low-frequency effects. Adding Klipsch RP-500SA elevation speakers via the RP-6000F II's Dolby Atmos passthrough connections completes a full object-based immersive audio configuration.

Very nice look and perfect "sheen"..
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
I've been an avid detailer for 30 years. And I do love the chemicals aspect of it. I've tried many products, and the vast majority of them aren't very good. Mind you, I was starting out detailing back in the 80's, when you had a VERY limited amount of products to rely on (And yes, I remember the very first days of Armor-All when it would CRACK your dash.. Those days are, of course, long gone. But I have been a big fan of Chemical Guy's products, and have written many reviews on here about their other products. This Total Interior, I have to say, has met or exceeded my expectations. Tip and note: Always wear nitrile type gloves whenever using any chemicals for detailing, repair, etc A garage isn't complete without nitrile gloves and an air compressor.. Enough on that. First off, they say you can use it on glass, and this would replace a lot of other cleaners and protectants, I'm not sure I would use anything to clean glass other than Invisible Glass. I've tried them all, and to me, Invisible Glass is my go-to and ONLY glass cleaner. Secondly, this DOES have a UV protectant in it, which of course, led me to purchase this. I've said on here before that if you are going to take the time to detail, and make the effort, you should not waste your time with products (Especially interior products) that don't protect the interior from UV damage.. The sun is a killer on leather and plastic.. (And paint, over time).. So if you're going to use any products on your interior make sure they have UV protectants. Thirdly, they say you can use this on Leather. I for one, after working with it, probably wouldn't use it on my leather, I prefer some other products for that, and yes, don't bother using ANY leather treatment unless it has a UV protectant in it, or at least follow it up with something that DOES have a UV protectant. I personally wouldn't use this on my leather. I would use Chemical Guys' Sprayable Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (no UV protectant), and then follow it with Klasse Interior as the Klasse has a UV protectant. The Klasse is also a water based formula (The original was oil based) and it also helps to tighten the leather a bit too.. Those two in combination make a nice look. What's nice about this Total Interior Cleaner Protectant (TICP) is the way it goes on. You want to use a fairly deep piled Microfiber cloth to apply it. Pre wet the cloth with distilled water in a spray bottle. Spray the TICP generously on the interior doors and plastics. It works especially well cleaning off your armrests and control modules for windows, door locks. I would generously spray it on the door panels and work it in, but I would not spray it directly on my speaker grills or into the control buttons, you want to work around that. For those areas, after you do the general door panels, or interior, and then come back and spray on your towel, and then hit the specific areas. For the front dash, and the LCD screen, I sprayed onto my pre moistened towel, worked it in nicely, then I quickly grabbed another microfiber towel that didn't have a "pile" on it. Almost like those microfiber dishtowels. The reason why is when you go for that quick buff (And just a quick buff, that's all you need) you can and will create some static.. And when you create that static you'll break off peach fuzz off a piled microfiber cloth and it may stick due to the static. So use a microfiber towel with no pile on it and quickly buff it, you don't need much, this product is "hot" and dries fairly quickly, a couple swipes, that's it. I did get the baby oil scent, and it's reminiscent of that, but not too strong or overdone. A nice fragrance. It comes in a couple other scents. The final look is very nice, it's not a shine or a heavy sheen, it's in between the OEM flat look (When you first purchase a new car) and a light satin. Just enough sheen to spruce up the interior, but not like a basted turkey that looks greasy or oily. Just right.

works great except on windows
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
I bought this to clean everything (dash, door trim and jambs, custom floor mats, infotainment system, center console, windows) but my leather seats and it cleans well and dries quickly without leaving behind that sticky and unnatural shine which is what I prefer. if you like everything having that “wet” look, this isn’t the product for you. my one complaint is that it absolutely does not leave a steak free finish on windows which is fine as I should probably own stock in Sprayway at this point. I was just hoping to carry one less cleaning product but this eliminated 2 so I count that as a win.

Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant 16oz
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
A True All-in-One Interior Cleaner That Delivers The Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant has quickly become one of my favorite detailing products. If you’re like me and want one product that can handle multiple surfaces inside your car, this is about as close to perfect as it gets. It’s versatile, effective, and safe to use on just about everything, which makes it a huge time-saver compared to juggling several specialized cleaners. What stands out most is the versatility. I’ve used this on my dashboard, touchscreen, center console, door panels, leather seats, steering wheel, and even glass with excellent results. It wipes away dust, light dirt, fingerprints, and smudges with ease, and it doesn’t leave behind streaks or any sticky residue. The finish is clean and natural—there’s no over-the-top greasy shine, just a subtle, refreshed look that makes the whole interior feel new again. Another highlight is the built-in UV protection. Living in a sunny area, I’ve seen dashboards and plastics fade or crack over time. Knowing this cleaner has UV blockers gives me peace of mind that I’m not just cleaning but also protecting the surfaces from long-term damage. That’s a major plus that many other interior cleaners don’t provide in one step. The scent is another nice touch. It has a fresh, light smell that makes the car feel clean without being overpowering or artificial. Some cleaners leave behind strong chemical odors, but this one is subtle enough that it doesn’t clash with air fresheners or linger too heavily after use. Application is simple. Spray it directly on the surface or onto a microfiber cloth, wipe, and you’re done. It doesn’t streak screens or glass, which honestly surprised me the first time I used it—I expected at least some hazing, but it left my infotainment screen spotless. It’s also gentle enough that I don’t worry about damaging sensitive areas like electronics or leather. In terms of performance, I can’t really find any negatives. For deep stains or heavily neglected interiors, you might need more specialized products, but as a general maintenance cleaner, this is exactly what I want. It keeps the whole car interior looking clean and well-maintained without having to carry around a shelf full of different sprays. Overall, the Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is a must-have for anyone serious about keeping their car in great condition. It’s versatile, easy to use, smells pleasant, and adds UV protection on top of cleaning power. I’d recommend it to anyone—from casual car owners who just want a quick wipe-down solution to enthusiasts who detail regularly. For me, this is a solid 5-star product—an all-in-one solution that lives up to its promise and makes interior detailing faster and easier.

Worth it.

Love this products. Regret not getting this sooner or even the kit. But super good, and actually smells pretty good no harsh chemical smell. Removed any stained I had with such easy. Which made application easy, just spray on microfiber towel and wipe away. A little expensive but again my fault for not going with the kit.
