These boots are made out a of strong EVA shell and laminated with Kentucky's famous velvet fabric via a new innovative hot-press technology. The tendon area is reinforced with the bamboo shield to avoid penetration.

Kentucky have created their own in-house testing machine which creates a force of 80N falling on a horizontal horse leg with a razor-sharp axe. The Bamboo Shield Tendon Boots are able to withstand this extreme testing method that can't be compared with any real impact while riding.

Fabrics & materials
The famous velvet fabric is laminated on the EVA which is then put in the hot-press mold under high temperature.
The Tendon Boots Bamboo Elastic Velvet have the highly breathable and well-known 3D Spacer lining on the inside. This 3D spacer fabric is also used in Kentucky's 3D spacer turnout boots and horse rug. The outer shell of the boots is made of lightweight yet strong EVA, with an additional bamboo shield insert in the tendon area. EVA has great shock absorbing properties. The boots are 35% lighter than TPU Boots. Bamboo shield is anti-bacterial. Where the horse is flexing, Kentucky has added a soft natural rubber piece to avoid any friction. Thanks to all these properties these boots are extremely comfortable for the horses’ legs.
Shape & size
Thanks to the anatomically shaped design the boots fit nicely around the horse leg to give a maximum comfort and protection. This allows to give the horse a maximum of freedom of movement to be able to jump better.
The soft and flexible rubber insert below the joint also offers the horse improved comfort in movement. The boots are available in sizes S, M and L.
