The AquaClear Powerhead 20 is a versatile pump that offers exceptional performance across multiple uses. It effectively powers undergravel filters, circulates and aerates aquarium water, and can be connected to filtration accessories like the AquaClear Quick Filter to ensure crystal-clear water quality.
This Powerhead features a venturi aeration valve that enhances oxygen levels, which is crucial during periods of elevated water temperature, increased fish populations, or when treating for diseases.
Additionally, it can be utilized to operate protein skimmers, which are vital for the health of most marine aquariums.
When paired with an AquaClear Quick Filter, Powerhead 20 provides extra mechanical filtration for cleaner water and offers protection for juvenile fish.
Essential for smaller reef aquariums, the Powerhead 20 can be discreetly placed while still generating beneficial water currents. Freshwater aquariums also gain from enhanced water movement in various setups.
The Powerhead 20 boasts several innovative features in its design, safety, and functionality: a compact, energy-efficient, fully submersible motor unit coated in epoxy resin; adjustable flow control; a venturi function for improved aeration and higher air output than most vibratory pumps; a vertical/horizontal output diverter; a stem adapter; convenient suction cups for simple installation; and an output hose adapter for effortless connections to protein skimmers, spray bars, and other accessories.
