Mac was a Scotty dog of great personality and intelligence, but in his first home he was not appreciated. One day he ran away and was fortunate enough to find the home of the Perkins family who loved animals of all kinds. Mick, the Irish wolfhound, already a member of the Perkins household, helped to teach Mac manners, and together the had amusing adventures. As Perkins was really a circus clown, Mac was trained to take his place in the circus act.
