The right tool for the job.

This is the tool you want. It is exceptionally functional, well made (made in the USA, if that matters to you), and beautiful in the way that quality tools are. The thing that really sets this tool apart is that it correctly balances form vs. function: a heavy duty build (as is the point when buying a bottle opener built by a tool company) without its use as a bottle opener (as is the point when buying ANY bottle opener) being negatively impacted by said build. I also bought the Craftsman bottle cap wrench, which, in my opinion, is hugely successful as feeling like a heavy duty tool and something of a failure as a bottle opener. It's so large and heavy, it has equal mass to the bottle you're opening. Imagine your buddy who has had one too many wielding a 12 oz. steel wrench over your tile floor, countertop, toes, etc. and you'll get the idea. Lastly, the engraving and materials on this Klein tool are so attractive I had to build it a custom wall mount instead of hiding it away in a drawer or tool chest. I will be buying a second for the office.

I had to knock off a star because the handle is not quite as good as other Klein tools. The plastic is not as clear. The TIP-IDENT bottlecap marking is off-center and not fully printed. The bottle opener sticks out at a slight angle. This does not affect the performance, but it does detract from the novelty somewhat.
