The vision
In early 1980, Paul Mitchell, legendary barber and co-founder of the company, first heard about Awapuhi. He saw a Hawaiian woman applying the juice of an Awapuhi flower to her hair and was captivated from that moment on by the natural effects of this unique plant. This sparked a vision he shared with his business partner, John Paul, a vision that is now being brought to life by their chemists. The rest is history.
About the packaging
The packaging reflects the island's volcanic landscape. The light-colored, recycled plastic is also more easily recyclable than dark plastic.
