Though they've played live together a few times, this album, recorded in 2009 and mixed in 2012, documents Frith and Butcher's first head-to-head encounter in a recording studio. Their goals were somewhat different - Frith says he wanted "to see what would happen. To have fun. To deepen the conversation," while Butcher had more specific results in mind: "A thing that's characterized a fair bit of my duo encounters with Fred is working at (for me) high volume. And I really wanted to get into, to go with, the energy of that but without travelling to some of the overdone places where power often pushes a saxophone." Indeed, some portions of the Natural Order do get quite loud; "Dance First, Think Later" may remind some listeners of Borbetomagus, while the albums longest track, the 13-minute "Colour of an Eye Half Seen," heads into territory somewhere between free jazz and drone metal. Other, quieter segments, like the middle portion of "Faults of His Feet," or the aptly titled "Butterflies of Vertigo," document the sensitive interplay of two men who've utterly mastered their instruments, yet continually seek to express something new and never before heard. The Natural Order is as pure a ocument as possible: recorded in a single stretch with no overdubbing, the 10 tracks appear here in the order of their creation. Butcher recalls, "It was a morning session, the day after I'd arrived from London. So I was a bit jet-lagged. It was good to be using a studio and engineer (Myles Boisen) I felt comfortable with. (I first went there in '97.) Everything was set up and we could near enough, just start playing." Listening to the music for the first time in five years, Frith says, "Recording and performance are so different to experience. In this case I can identify moments of discovery and self-discovery in the exchange that are really exciting to revisit. I think we both adjusted our vocabularies to accommodate what we were hearing, and did so in a spirit of absolute openness and freedom. Which is the way it's supposed to be. "The Natural Order is the perfect title for this album, which captures a single hour of unmediated interaction between two restless, creative spirits determined to make every moment with their respective instruments count. It's not jazz, it's not rock, it's not noise - it's pure music, the product of two men in one place at one time, unique and unrepeatable.

Budget Friendly Stereo Speakers for Both New & Old Mac Users alike.
Size: 1 Pair, Color: Black, Size: 1 Pair, Color: Black
I purchased these for my Father’s MacBook Air and he absolutely loves everything about them.
It’s Ease of Use, and it’s Functionality with macOS despite it not being advertised on here.
As a Windows Migrant to Now Mac User from my personal experience they work flawlessly on a Mac.
The audio is great for what it is, and it’s USB powered making it to where you can repurpose old USB Cell Phone chargers into, PC/Mac Speaker Power Adapters in order to power it up. Without sacrificing your USB ports on your machines.
Only downsides are you can’t control the lights, and that the cables are a little weird and do take some getting used to.
Yet either way I highly recommend purchasing these Stereo Speakers for MacBook users, iMac users, Mac Studio users and Mac Mini users alike, who are looking for an Audio Upgrade while being budget conscious and all without sacrificing your desk space simultaneously.

A Great Pair of Small PC Speakers
Size: 1 Pair, Color: Silver, Size: 1 Pair, Color: Silver
These are great little pc speakers. They hookup easily, give off great sound, have an in line cord volume control and look great on the computer desk. The only thing missing is an on/off switch so you have to detach the usb to turn off the power, if desired, when the PC is on. My usb port is on the front of my desk top so it's easy.

Don't by used from amazon
Size: 1 Pair, Color: Black
Bought them used (don't do it plz) and they work well but at times I notice a hissing sound that always happens when I'm not playing any audio from them, and then there's times where there's no hissing sound. It's not the loudest but it can get kind of annoying. I'm sure it's because I bought them used but oh well, saved a few bucks and this is what I get. Other then that though the actual sound quality of the speakers is crazy good for the money. Speakers have nice weight to them and really decent bass to em as well. Just gotta give it 3 stars since Amazon didn't find it necessary to
1. Didn't clean the product before shipping so that it was in a presentable state, came to me hella dusty
2. Idk if anyone actually did long enough testing on this product when it got sent back, or else they would've fixed the hissing problem. I assume that was why it was sent back in the first place
3. Box was terribly packaged. No bubble wrap what so ever, the box the actual speakers were in also had nothing keeping them safe from getting smacked around during shipping. Multi billion dollar company can't even go the extra mile for the people who are paying them and keeping them in the business.

Perfect!
Size: 1 Pair, Color: Black
My husband wanted old-school plug-in speakers that had quality sound. These fit the bill and at an excellent price! They function exactly how the older speakers did, plug in and enjoy! No need to mount but you can if you wanted to. Easy to use and they have great volume. He does music making and video game development, so he needed the sound quality.
