For over 10 months, the Schickedanz family explored Europe and Southern Africa in 1998-1999. This life-changing experience was one that needed to be shared. Within 6 months of arriving home from "the Great Adventure", Martha and Dick returned to Southern Africa with their first "guests", friends who had been intrigued by tales of Africa. They loved it! Martha and Dick decided to continue on with introducing others to Southern Africa by taking repeated trips back - exposing more than 200 individuals to the Africa they loved. Thus, Travels with Martha became official.

Martha's unique ability to plan and escort small group (typically 6-8 people) travel results in relaxing and fascinating experiences with access to places you may not find on your own. Recent trips include Southern France, Croatia, Slovenia, Great Britain, Canada, New England, Turkey...the list is endless!
