The book of a strong tournament is more than just a games collection. When its participants are the world's strongest players . . . the tournament as a whole represents a step forward in the development of chess creativity. We may take as examples of such tournaments the events at Hastings 1895, St. Petersburg 1914, New York 1924, Moscow 1935, and Groningen 1946. Beyond doubt, Zurich-Neuhausen 1953 deserves a place among them.David Bronstein ventured this evaluation of Zurich 1953 just three years after the event, in the preface to the first Russian edition of this book. Since that time the 210 games of the legendary tournament have only grown in stature. Most knowledgeable chess players now rate it the greatest tournament since World War II, and possibly the greatest tournament of all time.
In the 1920s Jim Marfia, a talented amateur player, became determined to provide an authoritative English translation of Bronstein's book, a task which occupied him for several years. The complete record of the famous Zurich International Chess Tournament, 1953, is available in English for the first time.
Held to determine a challenger for then World Champion Botvinnik, Zurich 1953 attracted fifteen of the strongest players in the world: Smyslov; Geller; Boleslavsky; Bronstein; Najdorf; Szabo; Keres; Kotov; Gligoric; Reshevsky; Taimanov; Euwe; Petrosian; Averbakh; and Stahlberg.
Almost all the games were hotly contested, and many are masterpieces of the first rank. To mention Euwe-Smylov (round 3), Taimanov-Najdorf (round 4, winner of a brilliancy prize), and Keres-Reshevsky (round 11, one of the most reproduced and analyzed games in chess), is just to touch the tip of the iceberg; there are literally dozens of memorable, innovative games in this volume, including a substantial portion by the author, one of the game's greatest players, who finished tied for second with Keres and Reshevsky, behind the winner Smyslov.
Advanced players will want this book for the games alone. Beginning and intermediate players, concerned more immediately with instruction, will find David Bronstein's annotations not only perceptive and thorough, but also a veritable textbook on how to play the middle game.

At this rate, I'm leaving this to my kids in my will

Ten months in and I have barely made a dent in this tub. I am genuinely starting to consider my options — mixing it into smoothies, using it as a cooking fat, applying it to every surface in the house. Something has to be done because at the current rate of consumption this container will outlive me.
In all seriousness, the value proposition here is almost absurd. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is a legitimately great product — dermatologist recommended, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, fragrance free, non-comedogenic, works on face and body, gentle enough for sensitive skin. It does everything a moisturizer should do without irritating your skin or smelling like you bathed in a candle.
The 19oz tub is the right call if you actually plan to use moisturizer regularly. A little goes a long way, which is both the best and most frustrating thing about it. Best because you're getting incredible value per ounce. Frustrating because you will be looking at this same tub for the foreseeable future with no end in sight.
Great product, generational quantity. Buy it once, pass it down.
One star deducted because I now have to figure out what to do with the remaining 18.5 ounces.

Great for dry skin and the whole family

We use this at home for everyone, including the kids, and it works really well. We all have pretty dry skin, and this cream keeps it hydrated for hours. I apply it after showering and it leaves the skin soft without feeling greasy. It has no strong scent, doesn’t irritate, and hasn’t caused any breakouts. I also feel comfortable using it on my kids because it’s gentle and effective. The jar lasts a long time since a little goes a long way. I would definitely buy it again.

Dry Skin Miracle!

I have very dry skin, and around my chin and nose, it flakes and turns red, exposing my inner layer of skin due to severe dryness. I could never seem to hydrate it or get rid of the flakiness. I thought it was just my skin at this point, and I could do nothing to solve it. Now, I've never considered using Cerave; I've always heard negative things about it. However, I've never been a makeup person until now, when I want to try to elevate my look (not to mention I'm always in pain from a lack of hydration). The problem is, my skin is so dry that it cracks the makeup, preventing it from setting well on my face.
Another problem is that around my nostrils, the flakiness looks like boogers, nasty. It's incredibly annoying. So I did a little research, and now I'm here. LET ME TELL YOU! This cream is amazing! I love how thick it is, and how a little goes a long way! My face, for the first time in my short life, is not dry! It's not buttery smooth, as in your hand won't glide against my face, but it won't feel the flakiness and roughness of my skin—and that's a game changer! I'm genuinely obsessed with randomly rubbing my face to feel the almost barrier of hydration, especially around my nostrils! I cannot explain the level of amazement I felt when I touched my nostril area to feel practically smooth skin. I felt as if it were a miracle. I've only used it for a week now, keep in mind, and this is how I feel. PLEASE BUY THIS IF YOU'RE LIKE ME! I'M SO HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE, AND IT'S WORTH ALL MY MONEY 🙏

If you use tretinoin this is for you!

This moisturizer has been a total game changer for my skin. I’ve been using tretinoin, and my skin became extremely sensitive—dry, irritated, and compromised. After adding this cream into my routine, I noticed a huge difference.
It helped restore my skin barrier, and my skin feels calmer, more hydrated, and much less reactive. The ingredients are simple and gentle, which is exactly what sensitive skin needs—nothing unnecessary or irritating.
I’ve tried much more expensive moisturizers, and honestly, I would pass on them and stick with this. It performs better for me without the high price tag.
I also love how versatile it is—I use it on my face, neck, and body. It’s rich and nourishing without feeling greasy, and it absorbs beautifully.

Effective and wonderful-smelling body wash.
I am picky about body wash, especially fragrances, and this one is one of the best. First and foremost, Method is a eco-friendly brand of bath, body and cleaning products that include non-toxic ingredients and no animal testing. Those things are important to me about a brand. This Simply Nourish body wash includes shea butter, rice milk and coconut to soften skin. The scent is very light and soothing - think a little hint of vanilla, lavender and powder. The scent doesn't linger on your skin or interfere with other fragrances you might use - it just smells really great in the shower. No residue left on the skin, just smoothness, cleanliness and softness.
