Vintage and Winemaker’s Notes
The whole clusters of handpicked fruit are placed directly into the press within hours of harvest. After pressing, the juice is fermented slowly to dryness in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation temperature is kept low, again to preserve the aroma and freshness of the fruit. The malo-lactic fermentation is blocked, to preserve the natural acidity of the wine.
The latest in a string of exceptional vintages, 2015 began early, with the vines breaking dormancy in late March. The spring and summer that followed were hot and dry, bringing on an early harvest in the middle of September.

About The Winery
Winery: Winter’s Hill Vineyard
Owners: The Gladhart family
Founded: 1961
Location: Dundee Hills, OR
Winter’s Hill Vineyard is an Estate winery located in the Dundee Hills of Oregon. The Gladhart family owns and operates Winter’s Hill, from managing the vineyard and the rest of our farm, to making our wines, to greeting you in the tasting room when you come to visit.
Thirty-five acres of vineyards are nestled into a 150 acre farm including fir and oak forests. Farming this land is a privilege, and we have followed sustainable farming practices since Peter and Emily Gladhart planted our first vines in 1990. We are certified by LIVE and SalmonSafe in recognition of our efforts.
The first wines bearing our name were 298 cases of 1998 Pinot Noir. Our production has grown slowly and steadily as wine lovers in the Northwest and around the country have discovered our Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and dessert wines such as our Golden Nectar. In 2004 Delphine and Russell joined the family partnership, with Delphine taking on the duties of Winemaker.
Our values of conservation and respect for our land guided us in 2008 when we designed and began construction of our winery. Completed for the 2009 vintage, it was dug into the hillside and built with 15 inch thick super-insulated walls to conserve energy and maintain cool, even temperatures throughout the year.
Winter’s Hill Vineyard is owned and operated by the Gladhart family. Today the third generation is developing the farm established in 1961. Together with our employees, we manage our vineyards, fields, and forests for the long term benefit of our family and our community. We are proud to share our wine and our land with our customers and visitors, and we look forward to your next visit.
Our vineyards are located in the Dundee Hills, where Oregon’s modern wine industry began in the late 1960’s. We are fortunate to have ideal conditions for a vineyard. Elevation ranges from 525-750 feet above sea level, with a gentle Southern slope. Our soil is Jory, the most sought after soil type for producing premium wines in Oregon. Our property borders several of Oregon’s best known vineyards, including Domaine Serene, Stoller, Eyrie, and Vista Hills.

SPECTACULAR dog chew toy!
Size: One Size, Style: Ball
If you look at my profile, you will see that I have bought and reviewed a LOT of dog toys! My boxer is an "aggressive" chewer and we go through dog toys quickly in my house. This has been one of my very favorite chew toys that I have ever purchased. This company sells quite a few of these chew toys in different shapes. This ball is made from a very light foam rubber (I think) material. When I showed it to my husband, he said "that won't last 5 minutes" and I had my doubts too. However, this ball has proven to be EXTREMELY durable! Because it is made from the foam material, it has a lot of tooth sized holes in it after she chews it, but she has been unable to chew the toy apart. I bought another of these chew toys made from the same material in a different shape thinking surely there was some accident that the toy had held up for so long. Nope, the new toy has held up just as well! The toys float in water and are very light and easy to throw. Overall, I will be buying more of these toys and would recommend this product!

Didn't last one day.
Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot, Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot
Didn't last even an hour. This damage wasn't from the dog either, it looks like it let loose from the stress of just trying to launch it! It doesn't fly near as far as the discontinued Pig Slingshot toy. Bring back the pig, please. I also ordered the other listed Hyper Pet flying fowl, and it flew the same distance as this one, and has lasted through the day (but needs to be heavier). But for this one, perhaps they needed to double stitch the area under the 'chin'? I'll try to return it. It looks like it should be more durable, but at least that part isn't. Second one: I chose the replacement, instead of a refund because my dog loves me shooting the toys into the yard. He saw the new duck, and was excited. Six shots in and the seam on the bottom of the head was already separating. By 10 or so times, it was getting concerning as the seams were opening enough I was concerned that it would lose its filling. I'm disappointed, and so is my dog. Just in case anyone is wondering, I never let him alone with this, and still feel, even more so, that the failure is the stitching on the bottom of the head, right at the point where the most stresses of launching it are focused. I'd strongly recommend that Hyper Pet use two layers of full canvas over that area, and also Bring Back The Slingshot Pig, PLEASE... The second picture is the second Duck, and my 7 month old. He wasn't ready to end the session. The problem, for us, is that the 'dog run' isn't very long, and all of the other toys I have are bazooka style launching devices that I can't use yet as they would fly far over the fence. Ironically one is from Hyper Pet, and is amazing. Works so well. Too well?

Not for labrador chewing.
Size: One Size, Style: Stick, Size: One Size, Style: Stick
Not recommended for a Labrador if they enjoy retrieving then chewing, because the stick will only last 20-30mins. The stick does float, and is hollow which is good when it’s been bitten down to ball size.

Great toy except the stitching
Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot, Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot
Excellent toy. My Lab immediately loved it and I used it to get her to swim for the first time! However, after just one use, the stitching started coming apart under the head. I wish it had been more durable, my dog loves it.

My dogs love these.
Size: One Size, Style: Stick
My dogs are chewers and we use these for the dogs to chase them into the lake. They float well and are easy to see. Even if they start to chew on them they are substantial enough to last through the summer. The dogs love them. We’ve been using them for several summers now but hide them until it is time to play fetch in the water again.
