Description: The ZM8-HDG6 kit by ACT features their most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate. These pressure plates utilize an exclusive diaphragm design to enhance clamp load, diminish deflection, and maximize clutch life. Each diaphragm undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process for exceptional performance. Precision cover stampings ensure rigidity and consistency.

The 6-pad, spring-centered race disc in this kit features a spring-center to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. With the 6-pad, spring-centered race disc, engagement is harsher, but shifting is faster. This disc type is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat.

I have been using tire plugs with great success for decades. I have probably installed close to 50 plugs. The hardest part can be reaming the hole to the proper size to get a plug installed.
