On their third album, the Danish duo Videodrones explore their kosmische take on synth wave further. Videodrones' first two albums tapped into short arabesque-like pieces, playing out like cues in a film. Atavistic Future sees them broadening out, with the two main tracks on the album clocking in at eight and almost 12 minutes respectively. And it's not only in the track lengths that Videodrones are reaching beyond: There is a wider range of influences and nods - from the Phillip Glass Koyaanisqatsi-repetitions of "Church" to the Suzanne Ciani Buchla-bursts of on the title track. It's the seamlessly weaved together influences, that makes Atavistic Future tick. The album is based around improvisation and repetition, allowing ideas to drift and emerge - catching fire at random. As always, most of the material were captured during a single prolonged day and night of jamming at Jonas Munk's studio, digging into his expansive collection of synthesizers. The pieces were then folded and reassembed by Jakob Skøtt - maintaining the improvised spirit, where synths and float out of tune and clock, yet intricately detailed and ever changing - bringing forth the best of both studio-production and jagged improvisation. As the title might remind you, we're always forgetting the most favorable traits of yesteryear - in search of what's ala mode, we're missing what the future must have felt like in the past. Videodrones is a silver-clad reminder of what can come out of having keen eyes and ears in the past as well as the future - leaving behind something vital for the present.

Really Helps-Especially for Star Station Tests-Haven’t Failed Since Using in Two Older Vehicles

Ever since the new CA State mandate that older cars and trucks have to go to a Star Emissions Station for their smog check I have become very familiar with Guaranteed to Pass. The first year of getting smogged under the new regulations my 1995 truck barely failed. It’s a tougher series of tests and it really sucks to have to pay more for a smog test that is designed to get older cars and trucks off the road that would normally pass a regular smog check. It came at a bad time, having just been laid off and losing my health insurance and income and trying to figure how to come up with money for truck repairs to get my registration renewed so I could be a viable job candidate in the really bad job market of a few years back (and still today, may I add.) But that is a whole other issue that gets my blood boiling. So back to my experience with Guaranteed to Pass. My 1995 Ford Truck barely failed and I mean barely according to the emission numbers so I had the manifold cleaned out, used premium gas for a tank and added Guaranteed to Pass. Having two gas tanks was handy as I could switch the tank to a fresh tank without the remainder of the additive in it for the retest. It passed with flying colors.
So for our other older 1993 mini-van and the truck in the few successive years since I always run the premium gas with Guaranteed to Pass in the tanks before the smog check. We’ve had the van and truck tested 3-4 times combined since and they pass every time. So I’m sold on Guaranteed to Pass and will vouch for it.

No more struggling on n54 oil filter cap!

First of all, this is a lifesaver. Getting the oil filter cap on the bmw N54 is a pain to tighten. I can not stress it enough. However this oil filter cap is most definitely the best purchase i have ever made during the oil change process. Before i bought it i damaged my oil filter cap because i didn't have the correct wrench and had to use big pliers to tighten it. Im glad i made this purchase, it’s affordable, good quality, super easy to use, grips the cap well, looks nice and clean, and works extremely well overall. This makes my life owning a N54 powered BMW much more convenient, especially as a DIY’er. I would 100% recommend this product, 5/5 stars.
