Care
General Maintenance: Repot every 1-2 years when the plant becomes rootbound. Can be pruned to control size/height of the plant. Can be propagated by rooting stem cuttings in water. Wipe the leaves down with a damp cloth every few weeks to remove any dust or debris and allow the plant to absorb as much sunlight as possible.Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15ºC-26ºC. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.
Light: Ficus love plenty of bright indirect light. Direct sun may scorch the leaves. Can tolerate slightly lower light levels, but this will result in a significantly slower rate of growth.
Watering: Water when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry to the touch. Do not let the soil dry out entirely. Ensure your pot has proper drainage to avoid overwatering as this will cause the plant to drop leaves, as well as potentially causing root rot.
Soil: Any high quality, well-draining potting mix will work well. Avoid heavy/muddy potting mixes as these plants do not like to sit in excess moisture.
Fertilizer: Feed once every 3-4 weeks with a liquid houseplant fertilizer during the spring and summer months.
