The legendary X (not to be confused with the US band of the same name) formed in Sydney, Australia in 1977. They recorded their seminal 1980 debut X-Aspirations in one 5 hour session with Lobby Loyde producing. People called X a punk band - and they certainly acted like one - but they were actually a great meld of Ian Rilen's gut busting bass and pioneering Oz rock stance (as you would expect from a veteran of both Band of Light and Rose Tattoo) and newcomer Steve Lucas' incredible sandpaper scream. 5 years later Rilen and Lucas recruited drummer Cathy Green (from experimental Canberra band * * [cough cough]) and recorded their classic 2nd. Album at Home with You (also produced by Loyde). Green's style fitted X like a glove and helped transform the band into a killer live act. The songs and production had more depth too - the.

Creative Swings and Takes!

Bold and amazing takes on Brainiac and Ras Al Ghul!
Super worth it for those stories alone!
Sol gets a lot of attention and big moments in this.
I feel torn about the character concept, because if I think of what Sol can do... amazingly cool and creative!
If I think of Sol being a last present of a safeguard to Kal-El, great stuff.
But as someone who despises what is going on with AI in our present day, I hate that Sol is an AI and gets this much attention and reverance.
Especially coming from this book which is heavily awake to the problems in our current society and taking a lot of good stands against those things.
Overall though, awesome climax and I really like this war for Kal-El's soul the whole book!
Just as the world may be warring for yours!

Could not put this book down!
Format: Paperback
Binge read quality!! Finished in 2 days I was in a dilemma with this book. I couldn't wait to finish because it was so good, and yet I didn't want it to end, because it was so good. Staying up til 2:30am is the highest complement I can give to a book. Current day with Gothic feel. The story pulls you in immediately, and there is never a part where it feels dull, or that you need to skip through. Mysterious with plot twists, especially the end. I love how there were flashbacks from the past intertwined with present day. Gave a great backstory that only came together at the very end. Spicy for sure, and fit in perfectly with story. Great character development so that you could empathize with both of the main characters.. Lucian and Isa. Check Trigger warnings first!
