The UV-B Quick Test is a fast and simple device designed to check if your UV product is still producing adequate rays. This card assesses the intensity of UV-B rays from UV-B fluorescent lamps or compact lamps using a new, eco-friendly, and non-toxic high-tech detection material. A change in color on the card indicates whether UV-B rays are still being emitted. The card transitions from white to purple based on the intensity of the UV-B rays. It can be reused up to 500 times, making it an excellent tool for outdoor use as well, helping you determine if UV-B levels are excessively high. If the card turns purple, it’s advisable to seek shade.
Usage:
This reusable card detects UV-B rays in just 10 seconds. Position the card beneath the UV lamp, directly in the light (approximately 5 cm from the lamp), to verify if the lamp is still emitting UV-B rays. If the card displays a “purple surface” under the UV lamp, the lamp
is still producing UV-B rays.
Caution: Replace UV lamps at least once a year or sooner if necessary. This card is intended for guidance only.
If the card fails to change color, replace the UV-B lamp immediately.
