仔細地磨過酒米「山田錦」，完美地混合了優雅的香氣和米味，是味道豐富的伴菜酒。
2015年-2016年，在日本最大的日本酒鑑評會［SAKE COMPETITION］純米吟釀部門中，連續兩年取得日本第一。
另外，在IWC2019SAKE部門中，全部9個類別都取得最高賞，又被選為「Champion Sake」。
酒蔵從仙台市青葉區上杉地遷至勝山的造酒用水水源的上杉西北以上的泉ヶ岳下方。一直只生產特定名稱酒的產量從1500石減到300石，酒款也集中在「暁・伝・献・縁」四款上。
在三季釀造的一星期準備裡，酒造設計了一個專門只釀造比豪華純米酒更高檔的清酒的1個釀酒桶，在所有過程中都徹底實行了精確的溫度控制。此外，酒造還引入了在日本只有數台的「遠心分離器」，將其用於勝山最高級的究極食中酒「暁」。2010年，酒造推出了適合濃厚味道料理和甜品的「元」。
2012年，酒造推出了與頭盤和肉料理配合度高、較低酒精度的「䴇」。之後，勝山獲獎無數，2015年在SAKE COMPETITION 2015「䴇」榮獲全國第一名，同年在第17屆「宮城県清酒鑑評会」上，被消費者選為最美味的清酒，「縁」和「戦勝政宗」在Supporters Selection中雙雙獲得金賞。
