Hemp Heroes is a clever twist on Monopoly. The aim isn’t to acquire as much money as you can and buy up all the streets, but to acquire all the game’s strains by trading. Surely the ingredients for a wacky evening spent around the table with friends!

• 30 Smoker cards
• 2 dice
• 30 bottles of Mister Maka CBD oil (pictured on playing cards)

Basic Playing Rules for Hemp Heroes

Decide in advance which player is in charge (banker). The banker makes sure that everyone gets their initial stash and manages the stock of the cannabis bank during play. Each player starts off with 15 kilos of cannabis, divided into:

• 5 x 10 gram
• 1 x 50 gram
• 2 x 100 gram
• 1 x 200 gram
• 1 x 500 gram
• 4 x 1000 gram
• 2 x 5000 gram

Shuffle the smoker cards and place them face down on the board. Each player selects a coloured pawn and places it on START. The player who throws the dice with the highest score can go first. The dice total decides how far you can go. 

• If both dice show the same points then you can move forward by that amount and have another throw.
• But if you throw the same number 3 times then you have to go directly to jail!

The Jail

Have you thrown the same number of points three times or have you landed on Busted? If so, then as you might guess, you go to jail. There you have to chill for 3 turns unless you throw a double with two dice in your turn. Or you can also pay 500 gram to get back in play. Players in jail still get their cannabis if someone lands on their strain. You can still get rich while behind bars! If you simply land on the jail square then that’s merely regarded as a visit.

Strains, Coffeeshops and Smoked too Much

If you land on a Cannabis Strain or Coffeeshop that has not yet been sold, then you can buy it. The money goes back into the cannabis bank. And you get the strain’s property card. You may also decide not to buy the strain. But if it has already been sold then you have to buy the number of grams shown on the property card! What if you land on Smoked too much Weed? Then you have to miss one turn. Each time you land on or pass Start, you get given 2000 grams from the cannabis bank.

Strains and Coffeeshop cards can be mutually exchanged or traded. You can negotiate when it’s your turn.

Smoker cards

Then there are the Smoker cards. Take one off the pile and do what it says on the card. Discard the used cards onto a new pile. Is the pile of Smoker cards empty? If so, shuffle the pile of used cards and put them back face down.

CBD Oil

Have you got all the cannabis strains from the same company? In that case, during your turn you can put Mister Maka CBD oil bottles on your strains. The price of a bottle is shown on the property card. These are the hotels from Monopoly. If another player lands on your strain and it has a bottle on it, then that player has to pay you what’s shown on the property card. You can only put the same quantity of CBD bottles on all strains or shops at the same time. The same quantity of bottles must be on each strain.

Out of weed?

If you’ve run out of weed, you can buy bottles of CBD oil for half of the purchase price. You can also sell your strains or shops back to the cannabis bank for half of the purchase price. This means, of course, that you’ve lost your property card and it’s available for others to buy again. Are you completely out of stock? In that case, it’s game over for you!
