The system development lifecycle is explored in detail from an accountant's viewpoint. Microsoft Excel as applied to accounting is given detailed treatment, followed by an introduction to databases, the database design process and relational schemata. Every chapter is accompanied by multiple choice questions to test understanding. Although originally written for the University of British Columbia BUSI335 course "Information Systems", the content is of wider application. Purchasers will gain free access to downloadable data to follow through the integral exercises contained in the work.
