The origin of The Flippers goes back to 1964 when Arturo Astudillo (guitar) and Carlos Martinez (bass) started The Thunderbirds. One year later, with Miguel Durier (guitar and vocals) and Guillermo Acevedo (drums) on board, they changed their name to The Flippers, after the American TV series featuring the famous dolphin Flipper. After paying their dues on stage playing covers of British beat bands, they released their first album, Discotheque, in 1966, featuring covers sung in both English and Spanish (of songs by The Yardbirds, The New Vaudeville Band, Larry Williams...) as well as trademark surf instrumentals full of reverb and fuzz, including Impromptu Jazz a Go-Go and Master Flipper. Their second LP, Psicodelicias, came out the following year, again on the Codiscos label. It was sleeved in a psychedelic cover and contained 12 tracks; three original compositions and nine covers, among them The Beatles' With a Little Help from My Friends and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Mitch Ryder's Sock It to Me - Baby!, The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band's Shifting Sands, The Blues Magoos' (We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet, and The Lords' Don't Mince Matter. Psicodelicias also features compositions by the band, including La Carta (a fuzz ballad with a Cuban flair), Con Su Soledad (another intimate and heartfelt moment), and what could be considered their flagship song, Flipprotesta, a wild and screaming punk beat number close to the Nadaist movement to which their compatriots Los Yetis belonged. The Flippers are, along with The Speakers and Los Yetis, one of the outstanding bands of the Colombian garage beat scene, and Psicodelicias is a classic album performed with raw, direct energy and enhanced by simple production. Presented here in it's first-ever facsimile reissue, it offers a broad survey of the hits and genres (soul, surf, garage, psychedelia) popular at the time in Colombia and around the world.

As good as my large Foodsaver if not better.

I have a large expensive Food Saver sealer that I have been using for years, it's stored away and not convenient for one quick sealing of something. So I did a lot of comparing of these smaller sealers and I chose this because they provided the suction power which I couldn't find one that matches this and that translates into quality of vacuum power. Some didn't even give that number so those I avoided. This also included 30 bags of good size and quality. Not the most expensive not the cheapest but certainly worth it.
I've included some photos of what I have sealed against my Food Saver. Now the bags are not the same but for comparison of which looks like it removed all the air.
I like you press the button and don't need to hold it, this will automatically stop when it's programmed to and not once has it left any air in the bag. I even put my raw meat into a ziploc bag leave that open and put that inside the sealer bag. These are reusable but limiting exposure to raw meat so cleaning is a little easier if even needed.
This is so much easier to grab a bag seal it and be done compared to getting out my sealer, having to cut a bag to size and seal one end first. If I have a lot to seal then I don't mind taking it out but for some left over chicken and I need to seal one package this is hands down so much easier. Charting it is simple, plug it in the light is red while charging green when charged. A child could do it. Look at the comparison of this handheld unit over my vacuum sealer and you can decide for yourself.
Wish I got this years ago.
I almost forgot this is also great again for Susvide something I do quite often so overall this makes life easier in the kitchen and saves money because food lasts longer, my coffee beans that don't fit in my counter Gator sealing can I can seal keep in the fridge keeping the beans as fresh as possible and when I need them so easy to open and again reseal if I choose. Things I wouldn't bother sealing before I do now, like my extra coffee beans, cheese, herbs etc. I am really impressed at the power this little thing has and it doesn't feel cheap, certainly you pick it up and you don't think oh this can't be good. Do yourself a favor and pick this one because for no other reason this appears to have the greatest suction power against all others that even bother to list it. If it's not listed then they are not themselves impressed enough so instead of showing it's not comparable they leave it out hoping you just don't notice.

Effective, easy to use vacuum sealer

This is a very nice portable handheld vacuum sealer. It comes with a variety of different bags to start with and you can buy more. It does a great job getting all of the air out to store food in your freezer. Love that i can reuse the bags. Food stays fresh and helps me save money buying in bulk.

Fast shipping on replacement item.

It worked well for around 20 uses and then it worked intermittently. Only had the sealer for about a week, so returned it and got a replacement, it works (so far, so good) but have not used it much yet. The replacement came within two days after requesting it...

Perfect convenient sealer
Size: Vacuum Sealer + 30 Bags
Great vacuum sealer. So easy to use. I have a large sealer that I've used for years and needed something that was easier and quicker. It is light weight and fits nicely in a drawer and is so convenient to take out and use for saving my food in the refrigerator or freezer. The bags are reusable so I can use it for things like cheese and open the bag, take some out and reseal the bag without wasting any cheese and it is ready to store again. It performs as well as my large sealer with great suction. I recommend it highly!
