From the thousands of images documenting hundreds of towns, I discerned common themes that were evident in multiple towns across the country. I am featuring these themes in individual books.
This one is called ÒHave A Seat.Ó It contains images depicting the chairs and benches that are a ubiquitous part of small towns. These seats along the sidewalks and in front of businesses invite people to take a break and relax. I see this as indicative of the walkable slower pace of life in small towns. The chairs and benches are as varied as the towns themselves Ð some fancy, some plain - some sturdy, some more fragile Ð some beautifully decorative, some austere - some still look viable and inviting, some appear to have outlived their usefulness.
