The Widelux FV is a 35mm swing-lens panoramic camera designed to produce ultra-wide images with a distinctive 24×58 mm frame format on standard 35mm film. It uses a 26mm f/2.8 lens, mounted on a rotating mechanism that scans the scene across the film plane, delivering a broad field of view of approximately 120°. The camera features a fully mechanical construction, with selectable shutter speeds linked to lens rotation for consistent panoramic exposure. Focusing is manual, with distance scale adjustment for precise control. The optical viewfinder provides framing guidance for wide compositions. Its compact metal body, reliable clockwork operation, and panoramic rendering make it a notable tool for landscape, architectural, and documentary photography.
