Elevate your engine building and assembly with the Damond Motorsports Mazdaspeed MZR DISI Engine Stand Plate. Our fully machined billet aluminum plate allows for mounting the side of your engine to an engine stand, which can make engine building and assembly a fair bit easier. With side mounting, more of the weight is focused on the rear wheels of your engine stand, making it much more stable, especially if it's a 3 wheel stand. The weight is also centered a bit more so vs if you were to mount to the back of the engine, which means less effort is needed to rotate the engine on the stand.
No more fumbling around with multiple posts, various bolts, nuts, washers, etc. to get you engine stand setup. To install our plate, all you need is 1 tool, since the supplied bolts are all 15mm... a size you'll need handy for those main bolts anyway. Slap the plate onto the block, bolt your stand fixture to the plate, and then slide it all into your engine stand. We recommend tightening the bolts to the block to 30 lbs/ft and the bolts to the stand plate to 45 lbs/ft.
This plate currently works with most common engine stands featuring horizontal and vertical slots, as well as stands with horizontal and angled slots. If possible, use at least 3-4 of the mounting bolts for the stand to the plate, in a triangle or square pattern. However, on some stands only 2 mounting bolts may be able to be used.
