Here is the perfect introductory guide to the history and ideas of the Quakers, one of the world's most fascinating and enigmatic religious groups. Emerging in England in the 1650s as a radical sect challenging the status quo, the Quakers are now best known for their anti-slavery activities, their principled stance against war, and their pioneering work in penal reform. Famous Quakers include Thomas Paine, Walt Whitman, Lucretia Mott, Herbert Hoover, James Dean, Judi Dench, and A.S. Byatt. And while the group still maintains a distinctive worship method to achieve a direct encounter with God, which has been at the heart of the movement since its beginning, Quakers today are highly diverse: some practice a protestant evangelicalism, others are no longer Christian. In this generously illustrated book, Pink Dandelion, the leading expert on Quaker Studies, draws on the latest scholarship to chart the history of the sect and its present-day diversity around the world, exploring its unique approach to worship, belief, theology and language, and ecumenism. It concludes by placing the Quakers in the wider religious picture and predicting its future.

Super tough & Great squeak!
Pattern Name: Chipmunk
This Zippy Paws chipmunk is perfect for a small to mid-size dog. Our cocker and mini-poodle are hard on theirs and it holds together when other toys are in shreds within a few minutes. We have purchased several over the years.

Annoying sound but DOGGY TOY JOY!!
Pattern Name: Skunk
My 14 month old is squeaker OBSESSED, but she easily does surgery and defluffs. However this toy has been perfect. The sound when you shake is over the top and creates so much excitement. She loves to chase and chew this and play tug with this, and no tears from tug or points where she's tried to excise squeaker so far!

Great toy loved by 3 big dogs
Pattern Name: Skunk
We have a black lab and 2 grandpups (a Great Dane and a Cane Corso) that visit regularly. All 3 love this toy. All 3 destroy toys pretty quickly, sometimes within minutes. I have no idea what it is about this one, but they have not even remotely destroyed it except for major slobber damage from being so loved. I bought the first one months ago from TJ Maxx and then bought another on here thinking it could be a replacement when the first one got destroyed. The first one has yet to be destroyed. It sounds like there is a water bottle inside of it but it is some kind of coil thing. That being said, this toy can be very annoying to listen to, but we tolerate it for 3 very happy dogs.
