What is the Air Self-Defense Force "302nd Squadron"?
Since the 302nd Wing was established at Chitose Air Base in Hokkaido, the unit mark is drawn in the motif of a white-tailed eagle, with the wings, tail, and legs each representing the unit name "302".
The F-4EJ Kai made its last flight at Hyakuri Air Base on March 19, 2019, and was transferred to Misawa Air Base on March 26, 2019.
The squadron was newly formed as the first squadron in the Air Self-Defense Force to operate the next-generation F-35A fighter aircraft.
