One of the standout features of the Exo Terra Repti Glo Compact Fluorescent bulb is its compact design and self-ballasted nature. These bulbs can be easily operated with a standard screw fitting. The spiral configuration allows for both vertical and horizontal installation without sacrificing performance.
For optimal results, it is advisable to pair a high UVB output (like Repti Glo 5.0 and 10.0) with a very high visual light output (Repti Glo 2.0). Keep in mind that fluorescent bulbs do not generate adequate heat; therefore, an additional heat source is necessary (such as an incandescent basking lamp).
