Blitzkrieg '41 is a two-player strategic simulation of the start of Operation Barbarossa (June 1941 ending March 1942).  Of interest are the supply rules designed to mirror the realities of the actual campaign.  German armies are far from home and in danger of running past the reach of their supply lines, while the Russian forces have strong internal lines of support.  The Germans will inflict enormous casualties and come close to capturing key objectives which would lead to a sudden death victory, but ....  The Russian's reinforcements are about as huge as their losses and can muster a reserve capable of attacking the weakest points the extended German front.  As there is no “zone of control” rule, defenders must occupy every hex of the very long front or face disastrous breaches.  The result should be many tense action filled engagements.  According to the designer a game of low to moderate complexity, playable in an evening.

Articles included in this issue are:

Great Book
Format: Paperback
I am reading this book for our Sabbath school study. Great reading. Submissions are made by real people trying to live right in a wrong, so wrong world. Very applicable to real life.

Valuable and timely
Format: Kindle
The various perspectives on the topic of diversity was refreshing, and the focus was on what is most important about the Christian faith. It is much better to read case studies like these rather than the echo chamber of social media.

The Power of Story in the Information Age
Format: Hardcover
After reading John Inazu's first book 'Confident Pluralism', I thought this might be a deeper foray into the legal/cultural difficulty of living faithfully in a pluralistic society. Instead, Inazu and Keller do something different. They challenge us to listen to stories of folks seeking to embody the principles of 'confident pluralism'. Does it offer easy answers? No. However, it does offer us a window into the rich ways that God can move us, transform us and position us for His purposes in communities where we might have deep disagreements. Overall, these stories of small and large acts of faithfulness to exemplify Christ's humility, patience and tolerance were deeply encouraging to person that constantly tries the patient of a God whose love he does not deserve. Very thankful to Inazu and Keller for organizing this. This is an important conversation in an acrimonious age where we falsely substitute information/vital statistics for people/real relationship.

easily accessible stories for engaging the culture
Format: Kindle
Inazu gathers stories of Christians seeking to engage the broader culture while maintaining their faithful beliefs. I appreciate the varied perspectives, though not agreeing with all, but then his four categories as the beginning of practicing this. That one line demonstrated a humility that I appreciated. This brings practical application into a narrative form that should be easily accessible
