A local schoolteacher is arrested, leaving his family to wrestle with the possibility of his guilt, in this exquisite novel about loyalty, truth, and happiness. The Woodburys cherish life in the affluent, bucolic suburb of Avalon Hills, Connecticut. George is a beloved science teacher at the local prep school, a hero who once thwarted a gunman, and his wife, Joan, is a hardworking ER nurse. They have brought up their children in this thriving town of wooded yards and sprawling lakes. Then one night a police car pulls up to the Woodbury home and George is charged with sexual misconduct with students from his daughter's school. As he sits in prison awaiting trial and claiming innocence, Joan vaults between denial and rage as friends and neighbors turn cold. Their daughter, seventeen-year-old Sadie, is a popular high school senior who becomes a social outcast--and finds refuge in an unexpected place. Her brother, Andrew, a lawyer in New York, returns home to support the family, only to confront unhappy memories from his past. A writer tries to exploit their story, while an unlikely men's rights activist group attempts to recruit Sadie for their cause. Provocative and unforgettable, The Best Kind of People reveals the cracks along the seams of even the most perfect lives and the unraveling of an American family. Little Golden Books Are Wonderful
Format: Hardcover
These books have been, and continue to be, the best books ever written for children. They teach life lessons in such a genteel way and the artwork is wonderful. I associate these books with my wonderful childhood. My mom read them to me all the time. I was glad I could purchase them as gifts to give to my friend so she could read them to her grandchild!

For Little Animal Lovers
Format: Hardcover
Adorable. Sweet little illustrations about each creature. The Kiddo's favorite page is the giraffe, because even a baby giraffe is so tall he has to kind of smoosh down to fit on the page of a book!
There is also a nice little story/nugget of information on each animal, so as they get older they still like to read the book because it is about behavior and they like to add more details!
A classic Little Golden Book, always great value.

Brings back good memories
Format: Hardcover
this was my favorite book when I was young (born in 1957). It was read over and over to me by my great aunt whom I used to spend
much time with and I credit it with forming my deep and abiding love for all animals. I purchased 3 copies to give to my grandchildren (ages 11 weeks to 16 months)for Christmas. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.
