If the water temperature rises too high, the device will automatically cool it down, while it heats the water if the temperature drops too low. This unit continuously monitors and manages everything for you. Additionally, it provides an early warning for any issues, such as when the temperature deviates by more than 2 °C for over 5 minutes, sending you a warning email. High outdoor temperatures can often lead to overheating of aquarium water during the summer months, which can be detrimental to fish and other aquatic life. For instance, excessive heat can harm corals in marine aquariums, while freshwater aquariums may experience oxygen shortages and rapid algae growth. The EHEIM climacontrol+ is the perfect solution for aquarium climate control. It operates with low energy consumption and uses environmentally safe coolant. Even in tanks that are sealed to prevent heat from escaping the lighting, heat can accumulate. The EHEIM climacontrol+ features Wi-Fi functionality, allowing you to set the optimal temperature using your smartphone, tablet, or PC/MAC. As soon as the water temperature exceeds or drops below the desired level, the device activates to cool or heat the water back to the target temperature, displaying the current water temperature at all times. If the temperature varies by more than 2 °C for over 5 minutes, you will receive a warning email. The EHEIM climacontrol+ is a continuous flow unit and must be used with clean (filtered) water. For marine aquariums, this means sourcing water from the filter tank using a separate pump. In freshwater setups, it should be positioned behind the external filter or can work via a separate pump with a pre-filter directly from the aquarium. The EHEIM climacontrol+ operates with energy efficiency and a commitment to environmental sustainability. The refrigerant (R290) is an alternative to ozone-depleting coolants, with minimal global warming potential (GWP). When installing the unit, ensure that the ventilation openings remain unobstructed. Maintain a distance of at least 50 mm from walls and other surfaces. For aquarium combinations, the base cabinet should have adequate openings for fresh air intake and warm exhaust (refer to the operating instructions for more details).
