The luxurious Scania S Series cab has pulled varied Oxford loads including fridge trailers, cylindrical tankers and standard box trailers.  Here it has taken on another Oxford favourite – the Houghton Parkhouse Livestock Trailer.  And it is as owned by A W Jenkinson, whose distinctive white and shaded green ‘three trees’ livery is instantly recognisable. The company is one of the UK’s largest providers of haulage, distribution and logistics services and prides itself on being able to transport everything from logs from Scottish forests to delivering bags of compost to garden centres via motorways to country roads.

The Scania S cab appears in pure white including the aerofoil with green and black sun visor, green lettering and the signature three trees in degrees of shaded green, grey and black. The interior is black as is the main exterior trim, apart from silver fuel tanks and wheels. The livestock trailer is also white, masked with a dark green rear side section with dark green rear doors, also depicting the Jenkinson ‘three trees’. The trailer sits on a dark green chassis.  The sides feature silver bars and struts, adding a final detail to this contemporary model, registered PJ73 XJH from 2023/24.

A timely introduction for classical retrieval
Format: Paperback
Bray has written a very accessible introduction to the attributes of God, with the proper distinctions between God’s essential attributes and his relational attributes. Bray does well in showing the necessity of the essential attributes as the foundation to the manifestation of God’s relational attributes to mankind, firmly anchoring them in the biblical text. I appreciate that he provided glimpses of the historical development of the attributes, interacting with some of the objections to the essential (i.e., classical) attributes and then exposing the reader to some of the best scholarship in response to the objections. The appendix ends the book with an historical survey of the attributes in the Christian tradition. Those unfamiliar with the development of classical theism will be brought up to speed, just enough to see the rich heritage of the classical attributes of God. I will be referring those new to systematic theology or are unfamiliar with the classical doctrine of God to this introductory work. It’s a great read and desperately needed due to the construals of God being promoted in modern theology.
