You Are Needed Now, the posters proclaimed. Join the Army Nurse Corps. And so they did: Over 59,000 American women signed up to serve their country in the war effort. Some joined expecting to experience the romance and adventure of war in faraway places while working to save lives. Many more quickly learned war's harsh realities -- and that their own lives could also be in danger. The Army nurses of World War II served in the United States and abroad, in dense jungles, war-torn villages, and on barren ice fields. Many encountered hardships: bombings, crude living conditions, inadequate food. They also experienced the frustration of receiving lesser pay and privileges than their male counterparts as they worked, sometimes around the clock, to treat the wounded while confronting air raids, the threat of invasion, and capture by the enemy.
Nonetheless, in additon to their devotion to saving lives, some of the most important things the nurses brought to their units were courage and cheer. From holiday parties in makeshift hospitals to fudge making and softball games amid the grueling conditions of war, these angels of mercy brought light -- and life -- to the American forces of World War II

Doesn't Cover the Whole Book
Format: Paperback
Writing this review because I wished I'd seen more caution on this when I was purchasing. This study is meant to be paired with the Captivating book. However, it doesn't have you read the entire Captivating book. It has you jump around the book in this order: Chapter 2, 4, 6, 5, 8, and 12. You don't actually read chapters 1, 3, 7, 9, 10, or 11. I found that very confusing. This study itself has you read the chapters suggested for each session and then there are personal reflection questions each day until you get together with your group to discuss. However, the questions and reading that are to be done in quiet time during the week are copy and pasted, word for word, text from the chapter(s) you read the week before. Not only do you read the chapter one week, but then you discuss it at group, and then you read it again in this study book. It's very repetitive. It's unfortunate because this book has a lot of solid and wonderful things to offer but the study is laid out horribly and in a very confusing way, and you're not even reading the full Captivating book when you follow the guide! I'd recommend the Captivating Book but can't say that I'd recommend this study purely because of how it's laid out and repetitive.

Kitchen accessory holder
Color: Black
This is a black dishcloth and accessory holder made of steel. It has a wire bin with an angled bottom plate to allow water to run off into the sink rather than pool (a plus!) It has a bar that clips on and hangs across the front to hold our dishcloth. We put a hand soap dispenser in along with sponges and a scrubbing pad. It does come with a clear plastic sticky strip with molded catches if you want to hang it in the sink, but we set ours on the top of the sink. Works well and doesn't move around or fall. A nice kitchen gadget.

Perfect sink organizer, keeps everything dry and clean
Color: Black
I honestly didn’t realize how much I needed this until I got it. My sink area used to always look messy with wet sponges, soap bottles, and water all over the counter.
This sink caddy completely fixed that. It keeps everything in one place — my dish soap, spray, sponge, and even a towel — and allows everything to dry quickly instead of staying wet.
I also like that it’s sturdy and doesn’t take up too much space. It makes my kitchen look more organized and clean without any effort.

Cute addition!
Color: Black
As advertised. Good size for my sink area. Room for dish soap, hand soap pump and kitchen sponge. A place to hang my kitchen wash cloth too.
