There is definitely no lack of heroic roles in the Gluckian repertory apart from the very well-known Orfeo from Orfeo ed Euridice: many memorable parts were assigned by this composer for the alto voice (either male castratos or female contraltos) - and it is precisely this repertory, written for excellent interpreters and yet still rarely performed today, which is celebrated on this album. As a consequence of a specific historical st of circumstances, Gluck had the good fortune to work with the final alto singers of his generation: not only Gaetano Guadagni, but also Giovanni Carestini, Vittoria Tesi and many others. Until the beginning of the 18th century, the contralto register was the one especially favored for heroic male roles and for those of heroines en travesti. Much of this repertory remains unexplored and of course unrecorded: with this new programme, Glossa tries to help filling a somewhat unexplainable gap. Sonia Prina, one of the leading altos of her generation, teams up with the fine Milanese laBarocca orchestra, conducted by Ruben Jais, for her first full-scale opera recital album: and this after having sung the leading role in Handel's pasticcio Catone, very recently released on Glossa, and anticipating her mind-blowing performance in Silla, another Handelian opera, with Fabio Biondi.

I was concerned it was going to be too small, especially since the tall portion design doesn't allow you to hang on the ourside....But I have a very nice glass container of dish detergent in it, a bottle of hand soap, and the tall container for taller brushes, straw cleaners, etc. It fits everything pretty well. Wouldn't be able to add a sponge to it, but I have a holder with suction cups on the inside of my sink for the sponge and keeps it out of sight, so it works for me. But if you have a stuff at your sink, it probably wouldn't. Though if you like the design (which is very nice), you could always use two, one on each side of the faucet. I also returned one because even though the extra container could hang on the outside, it was short enough and everything kept falling out of it. This taller one works much better...but again, it too is somewhat limited on size and storage. I much prefer everything organized and in its place, and this provides that.

Great little sink organizer!

This is a lovely addition to my kitchen sink to handle all of my dishwashing tools. And I really like the DE base to catch all the drips and water drainage. The separator in the middle is moveable so you can determine how big or small you want the partitions. It was packaged very nicely and came with stick on feet to protect your countertops or sink edge. Highly recommend if you were looking for something this functional.

It’s compact yet spacious enough to hold my sponge, dish soap, brushes, and other kitchen essentials. This kitchen sink organizer has been a game changer for my countertop! It’s sturdy, well-made, and fits perfectly next to my sink. The multiple compartments are ideal for keeping sponges, scrub brushes, dish soap, and even scrub pads neatly organized and within reach. I was able to clear up so much clutter around my sink area it looks so much cleaner and more functional now.
I love the rust-proof design and the drainage holes on the bottom that keep everything dry instead of sitting in water.
