Installation Guide for Vibroacoustic Massage Table Attachments

1. Prepare the Table Surface

1.1 Clean the Underside

Before installing attachments, flip the table and thoroughly clean the underside where the vibroacoustic boxes will be mounted. Use a non-perfumed cloth and an isopropyl alcohol solution (70% IPA, 30% water) to remove dust, oils, and residues if present. This initial cleaning prevents contaminants from weakening the adhesive bond.

1.2 Remove Staples and Fasteners

Inspect the wood surface for any staples, tacks, or protruding fasteners. Remove all staples and metal objects to create a smooth substrate. Embedded staples can puncture the VHB™ tape liner and compromise adhesion.

1.3 Sand and Reclean (for Used Tables)

If the table is not brand new, lightly sand the wood surface with fine-grit sandpaper to remove old finish layers and create a uniform surface profile. After sanding, repeat the cleaning process with IPA/water until the wood is free of dust and grease.

2. Position the Vibroacoustic Attachments

2.1 Cables and Connections

Locate the cables protruding from each vibroacoustic attachment box. Lay out the attachments on the floor to identify correct cable lengths and connector types. Ensure all cables are intact and free of damage before proceeding.

2.2 Placement on Stationary Tables

Place the attachments on the underside of the stationary massage table so that the transducer faces upward toward the client. Position boxes symmetrically along the table length, typically near the headrest and lumbar regions to maximize vibrational coverage.

2.3 Placement on Folding Tables

If using a folding table, align the attachments so that when the table is closed, the boxes nestle side by side without interference from hinges. Verify that the table can fully close with cables routed neatly through any folding seams, avoiding pinch points.

3. Secure Attachments with 3M VHB™ Tape

3.1 Tape Preparation

3.2 Final Position Check

With the tape-lined attachments held loosely in place, lower the table (or close the folding table) to verify clearance and alignment. Ensure no cables obstruct the closure mechanism and attachments sit flush against the wood surface.

3.3 Apply Permanent Adhesive

Once satisfied with placement, peel away the protective film from the VHB™ tape liner and press each attachment firmly onto the table surface. Apply uniform pressure to fully engage the tape adhesive.

3.4 Cure Time

1. Cable Connection: Plug each attachment's cable into the corresponding output on the custom amplifier unit.
2. Power On: Turn on the amplifier and set the intensity to the lowest setting.
