This book tells the story of Art1, a computer program developed in 1968 at the University of New Mexico by electrical engineer Richard Williams with the encouragement of art department chair and renowned kinetic artist Charles Mattox, who wanted to make UNM a center of high-tech creativity. In a wider sense, Art1 was an attempt to bridge the cultural divide between art and science. Artists on the one hand were working in avant-garde modes beyond the comprehension of most people, just as scientists were using ever more arcane theories to describe the universe; the notion of a shared common culture that could draw the two together seemed remote in the modern age. UNM art faculty member Frederick Hammersley took a strong interest in Art1 and in two years made more than 150 works using it. The book features 50 illustrations by Hammersley, Charles Mattox, Katherine Nash, and James Hill and interviews with Williams and Hill. The story of Art1 and its role in early digital creativity documents for the first time its far-reaching impact.

The Best Black Slim Jeans for the Price
Size: 32W x 33L, Color: Black
This is the second pair I bought, this time in Black (32W x 33L). The size and fit are the same excellent slim cut as the medium wash version. The Black is a nice, solid color that looks semi-dressy. The stretchiness is perfect—it makes these incredibly comfortable to wear all day. The material is soft and light for denim. For functionality, they are easily dressed up or down. As for long-term durability, based on my medium wash pair, they hold up very well, resisting bagging out in the knees and seat. Highly recommend this exact fit and material combination.

Sizing is bull.
Size: 36W x 34L, Color: Rinse, Size: 36W x 34L, Color: Rinse
I ordered the same size, same brand, 3 different colors and the dark one was the only one that fit. I returned the small ones and ordered another pair of the dark, same size, same brand, same color, same EVERYTHING, literally 2 days later and this is what I received. How is it the same but one is clearly at LEAST one size smaller? This is bull, I’m so mad. I’m not gaining weight, these should fit PERFECTLY (the larger one does). Ridiculous.

Great jeans at a great price
Size: 33W x 30L, Color: Blue Overdyed
These are great jeans and high quality. I compared them to some of my expensive jeans and found them nearly comparable. The slim cut works perfectly for me.
