An autobiography by Captain Lyle D Bobzin; a 36 year veteran pilot for Trans World Airlines. Growing up during the Great Depression, he was inspired by the solo flight of Charles A Lindbergh to pursue a career in aviation. Follow the author as he is hired by Transcontinental & Western Air, "The Lindbergh Line," the forerunner of Trans World Airlines, known as the airline of international celebrities and motion picture stars. During the 1940s under the ownership and direction of Howard Hughes and President Jack Frye, read about the vision these men shared of creating and implementing an around the world airline and the opposition they overcame, and how these events influenced his world perspective as seen from the flight deck. The formative years cover the expansion of Trans World Airlines from a domestic airline to an international air carrier when in 1946 TWA flew a Lockheed Constellation from New York to Paris and established the TWA International Division. Thus began the route expansion into the cities of Paris, Geneva, Rome, Athens, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Bombay, and Colombo, Ceylon. In addition, flights were flown to the Azores, Lisbon, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli to Cairo. Later Madrid, London and Frankfort were added. TWA was the first airline to fly into Tel Aviv, Israel. Innovative and pioneering, TWA was the first airline to fly the Lockheed Super Constellation, the "Connie," and the Super "G." Discover how world politics influenced the route awards. As the airline industry grew, so did government regulation as CAA evolved into the FAA. With the advent of the Boeing 707 and award of landing rights into Hong Kong, TWA now completed the around the world route structure in which TWA flight crews flew completely around the world. In the 1960s skyjacking and terrorism began targeting the airline industry. Enter the Boeing 747 and you have just some of the challenges this pilot and his company faced.Binding Type: Paperback

More soft than firm
Size: Queen(Pack of 2)
Not firm but more soft, would I be returning probably not but if you were already on the fence this is your confirmation that it’s not as described, ( well to my standards at least ) it does feel of good quality but I was looking more a sturdy firm that soft and cushion feeling .

Best fluffy but firm pillows
Size: King(Pack of 2), Size: King(Pack of 2)
These pillows are worth every penny! They started off pretty flat but after three days they plumped up well. In addition to them being plump, they are also firm. Exactly what I was looking for. You can shake up the internal stuffing if you want them softer too. They were a bit pricey but I’m going to repurchase and replace all my home pillows with these. I do sleep hot and the cooling side is perfect to lay on. Kept me cool and comfortable. I haven’t had any neck or back pain after switching to these pillows too. Absolutely recommend these for your home. The photo shows how full the pillows are. I have four pillows in the picture plus two smaller other brands. These are definitely fluffier.

It works! Quality pillow.
Size: Standard (1 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
This does actually provide a cooling effect, and it's very comfortable! The accompanying literature is helpful too. I believe this to be a quality pillow for the price.

Most comfortable pillow I’ve ever slept on
Size: Queen (1 Count), Color: Crescent White(cooling)
This is the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on. It doesn't mash down like other pillows. Cradles my neck perfectly plus it’s cool. I broke my neck a couple of years ago and this pillow feels very good and comfortable. Definitely recommend to everyone. Ive used it since May and it’s retained its shape.

Smell
Size: Queen (2 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
The fact that there are not more comments on the smell of these pillows has me worried about some of yall. Listen, I LOVE the weight, and the firmness, it’s perfect for that. However, these pillows are RANK. They have a very strong mildew-ish smell that lingers. I took the outer cover off and washed it and let the pillow air out for a few days, the smell is still very strong when you press your face against it, which one does because it is in fact designed for that purpose. It smells so bad. It’s nauseating. I can smell it through two pillowcases and blanket that I threw on top of them hoping an extra layer would trap the smell. I’ll bake them in the Texas sun tomorrow and hope that helps, because otherwise these are the perfect pillows for someone who wants to feel like they are hugging a torso but can’t stand the sound/feel of someone else breathing. I don’t know…4 stars, if the smell goes away I’ll come back.
Update: many many days later. Either they don’t really smell anymore or I got use to it. They’ve held their firmness and shape well. I like them.
